About Mamelis

Mamelis is located in the Selzerstream (beek) valley at an altitude of about 130 meters. The Abbey Sint-Benedictusberg was built between 1923-1928.
A water mill; the Schoeërmolen was in operation in Mamelis until well into the twentieth century, this mill is still there, but the wheel was removed.
Mamelis is protected landscape and the village has several half-timbered houses, most of them 18th century.
