Wilhelminaberg

After the mine closures, the mountain has been given a recreational purpose. The largest indoor ski slope in the world rests on the west flank. Next to it is the longest open air staircase in the Netherlands. Every day hundreds of people climb the 508 steps to the top and they have a magnificent view over the Euregio Meuse-Rhine from 225 meters.
