Hoge Kempen National Park: nature in all its glory! The National Park in the Belgian province of Limburg is a unique nature reserve where more than 12 000 ha of forest and heathland are managed and protected. The area stretches across the municipalities of As, Bilzen, Dilsen-Stokkem, Genk, Lanaken, Maaseik, Maasmechelen, Oudsbergen and Zutendaal.

Extensive pine forests alternate with purple flowering heathland, large ponds testify to gravel and sand extraction and high peaks offer great views. Moreover, numerous rare and special animals live in this natural setting.
